Captain Thomas Pitt

If one is reading closely they will note that I missed out posting on Henry Pitt, Sr.  This is because there isn't much I have found on the gentleman so far.  However, we do know a bit concerning his father.

Feb 1664 - Within a deposition, Thomas stated he was 28 years of age.

Owned the ship "Adventure" which traded between Virginia and England. (Tobacco)

Captain Thomas Pitt made his will 21 April 1687.  This will was probated 9 August 1688.  To his wife, Mary (the executrix) he left first choice of two negroes, two diamond rings, her wedding ring and enamelled ring and necklace of pearls.  Also to his wife Mary, "...The plantation I live on as far as the cart path that goeth from John Champion's to Col. Bacon's plantation toward the church and so joining on Thomas Goss'."

His children were named also in his will: Thomas, Henry, Martha, Mary, Elizabeth, Anne and Patience; leaving each of his daughters 5,000 pounds of tobacco.

For the purposes of brevity, I am only including my direct lineage in the following group sheet.  The names of his other children are listed above in the abstract of his will.
